  4. Ok folks, here's the *BETA* release of the documentation for 2.75. I've tried
  5. to include everything I could possibly think of, but there are a few things
  6. not included here:
  7.  
  8. 1) Multinode configuration - I don't have a clear grasp of it, despite a care
  9. package from Tim Peeters. Any of you guys out there running more than one line
  10. need to send me all the data you have on it. I'll try and piece it together for
  11. the Gamma-2 release.
  12.  
  13. 2) Menu Master - Since this is now the property of Steve and Richard, there
  14. are bound to be changes made. I haven't made any attempt to incorporate the
  15. menu editor in this version of the docs; I'm pretty much awaiting a QuickBBS-
  16. specific version from Steve to do so.
  17.  
  18. 3) Modem Initialization Strings - I've made a cursory effort (actually, just
  19. enough text to warrant an index listing and appendix, but there's still more
  20. work to be done.
  21.  
  22. 4) Qecho/MsgUtils/MsgPack - Since I use D'Bridge and MBUtils exclusively to
  23. handle messaging, I still need to work on this. I believe I did do some work
  24. on Qecho, but I'll need the latest and greatest release of all three in order
  25. to have an accurate listing in the docs. I hate having to update tables at the
  26. last minute ... all the page formatting goes haywire! :)

  29. These will be added before the 2.75 Alpha release, but the primary consideration
  30. is to get this beta out as soon as possible, and to move on to the next beta.

  32. Let me know of specific errors in the documentation, preferably by page number,
  33. paragraph or subject. If you have an idea for enhancing the manual, by all means
  34. let me know. This is a joint effort; I'm getting burned out and I know I'm 
  35. missing a lot of things since I open the file every day.

  37. As far as formatting goes, I'm sure there are a few errors, but the crux right
  38. now is to get an accurate release out, and worry about the format later. I'd
  39. still like to hear of formatting errors though...

  41. There has been a few messages in QUICKBBS concerning the lack of QuickBBS-
  42. specific errorlevels in the 2.66 version of the docs, as well as the indexing
  43. being off a page. I know that there are at least three examples of errorlevel
  44. 3, 4, and 5 in these docs, and I also have 2.66 showing them. Check the index
  45. carefully; Allen screwed them up because of a blank page...
